Alice Lucille Cobb, 73, of 18819 Rolling Road, Hagerstown MD, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 23, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Wednesday, September 2, 1936, in Springfield, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Clifton R. Bradish and the late Mary C. Gardner Bradish.
She was a member of the Washington County Homemakers , where she served as President and Committee Member. She was a 60 year member of the Hawk Mt. Grange #449 in Perkinsville, VT, a member of the Vermont State Grange since 1952, the National Grange since 1954. She was very involved in Brownies, Girl Scouts and as a Cub Scout leader. She was the founder of the Perkinsville Birthday Calendar, and active in various, church, school and community activities.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Robert E. Cobb, Sr., three daughters, Pamela Schnebly & husband John of Clear Spring, MD, Patricia Hoover & husband Gerald of Marion, PA, and Kristina Hoover & husband Jeffrey of Greencastle, PA; one son, Robert E. Cobb, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Betty Farnsworth of Springfield, VT, and Beverly Howe of Perkinsville, VT; twelve grandchildren, J.C. Schnebly, Jeremy Schnebly, Trey Cobb, Justin Hoover, Tiffany Wissinger, Heather Schnebly, Trevor Cobb, Zachary Hoover, Alicen Hoover, Abigale Hoover, Ella Hoover, and Erika Hoover; five great-grandchildren, Emma Schnebly, Caroline Schnebly, Brianna Schnebly, Evan Schnebly, and Trinity Wissinger, and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Bradish.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at 10:00 AM, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD with Pastor John Koontz, Jr. officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, April 27.
Interment will be in the St. Paul's Cemetery, Clear Spring, Maryland.
